INDIANAPOLIS, IN (November 13, 2014) – Washington Township has been named a District of Distinction by the editors of District Administration magazine for implementation of the International Baccalaureate Program for every student district-wide.

Districts of Distinction is a new national recognition program created by District Administration magazine to honor school districts that are leading the way with new ideas that work. Honorees were selected based on quantifiable results and replicability for other districts. Out of hundreds of nominations, 49 were selected for this inaugural round of Districts of Distinction.

“We are pleased to honor Washington Township as a District of Distinction,” says JD Solomon, editorial director at District Administration magazine. “Like all our honorees, Washington Township serves as a model for school leaders across the country.”

All of the honorees were published in the November edition of District Administration and are also being featured online on the magazine’s website. For a full list of honorees, visit www.districtadministration.com/dod.
