Fox Hill Elementary Principal Announced

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 27, 2016) –  At last night’s Washington Township Board of Education meeting Mrs. Erica Beard was recommended and approved to become the Principal at Fox Hill Elementary.

EricaB Mrs. Beard joined Washington Township in 2003 where she first served as a general education teacher at Allisonville Elementary School. In addition to teaching she also served as the Assistant Principal at Allisonville from 2012-2014, and most recently as the Assistant Principal at Fox Hill Elementary.

Mrs. Beard holds a B.S. from Purdue University in Elementary Education and an M.S. from Butler University in Educational Administration. Over the past thirteen years with Washington Township, Mrs. Beard has been a highly motivated and dedicated educator with proven ability to enhance curriculum, support the development of staff and students, and collaborate with the school community to ensure a quality education in a safe learning environment.

“I am honored to be chosen as the next principal of Fox Hill Elementary School,” said Mrs. Beard.  “I have had the pleasure of serving as Fox Hill’s assistant principal for the last two years, and am so humbled by the opportunity to continue to serve as an integral part of the community. I am passionate about the work we do every day in Washington Township and at Fox Hill, and am eager to continue to work alongside such dedicated teachers, caring parents, and committed community members to ensure the success of our students. I am invested in our growth and excited for the wonderful opportunities ahead to help our students achieve excellence.”

Mrs. Beard’s new leadership role as the principal of Fox Hill Elementary School will be effective July 1, 2016.
