The Operations Department coordinates six major divisions within the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. The department includes the areas of construction,child nutrition, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and warehousing.

The Operations Department serves over 10,000 students and 1,500 employees each day for Washington Township Schools. The Operations Department handles many issues on a daily basis and makes every effort to assist students, staff, and patrons as it attempts to compliment the overall educational program of the district.

The main office for the Operations Department is located in the H. Dean Evans Community and Education Center (HDECEC).
