Allisonville teacher Mr. Steven Auslander was selected as the 2013-2014 Jacobs Educator for the Indiana University School of Education.  With extremely impressive application materials, Mr. Auslander was selected from 20 applicants from across the United States.

The Jacobs Educator Award is supported by the Barbara B. Jacobs Chair in Education and Technology to recognize Pre-K-12 teachers across the United States who are using technology to support innovative inquiry-based teaching and learning activities in their classrooms. Each year, a small group of exceptional teachers from any grade level or content area who are at the cutting edge of integrating digital technologies into their instruction, are nominated.

As the 2013-14 Jacobs Educator, Mr. Auslander will periodically assist faculty and students in the IU School of Education, and the School of Education also plans to visit Allisonville during the year to document various activities and strategies that Mr. Auslander uses in the classroom.   Mr. Auslander will be recognized on November 9th, at Indiana University. Congratulations Mr. Auslander!
