  Drill Team Commander
C/SSG Cory Myers
  • Recruit members and organize the cadet Drill Team
  • Schedule the Drill Team training program
  • Coordinate uniform and weapon requirements
  • Schedule drill programs, parades, and competitions for the Drill Team; coordinate these activities with the S-3 and the cadet battalion training schedule

 

“Drill provides a means, through ceremonies, of enhancing morale, developing the spirit of cohesion, and presenting traditional, interesting, and well executed parades.   The objectives accomplished by drill are teamwork, confidence, discipline, alertness, and attention to detail, espirit de corps, and pride.   It instills habits of precision and response to leader’s orders and provides the participant the opportunity to practice commanding and directing.”
North Central High School Drill Team consists of at a minimum of a ten-man team to include the Drill Team Commander.   Practice is every Tuesday in the second semester from 3:15 – 4:10 PM. Drill rifles are used during all practices and meets.   Drill meets are normally held every 1-2 weeks.
