July 22, 2021 marked the official groundbreaking for the new Northview Middle School. School district administrators, teachers, and students, joined community members in celebrating this occasion. Included in the festivities was a visit and remarks by the Mayor of Indianapolis, Mayor Joe Hogsett.
Thanks to the support of the Washington Township community passing of referenda, the district is making investments and continued improvements on facilities district-wide. These capital improvement upgrades will enhance our safety and security, provide technological upgrades, and ensure that our classrooms are designed to meet the latest in educational design trends. These improvements will demonstrate what many community members already know… that public education and investment in our young people is a smart investment in our community.
