WTS Receives Recognition for Commitment to Supplier Diversity
The outstanding commitment to supplier diversity of WTS is being recognized by the Indiana Minority Business Magazine, as the District was nominated for an award as part of the magazine’s annual awards dinner. Indiana Minority Business hosts this event in conjunction with the Indianapolis Recorder newspaper, one of the nation’s oldest publications owned by people of color. WTS’ nomination was based upon a commitment of over $84M in spending on our capital projects for new and renovated schools with firms owned by minoritized communities, women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and small businesses. WTS is investing where it matters the most—here in Indianapolis and Marion County! For more information regarding our capital projects/supplier diversity, click here.
Thank you to the Minority Business Magazine for recognizing WTS for our commitment to diversity. Students, administrators, and board members were honored to represent WTS at the award banquet on January 13, 2023. Congratulations to our partner, Robin Winston, for being honored for his supplier diversity work! #whyWT
