NCHS Students Visit Construction Site

North Central High School Students in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) Mentoring program recently had the unique experience of walking the Paul Loggan Fieldhouse construction site. Along with the ACE mentors and NCHS teacher sponsors, these students got the full tour of the site from industry professionals who are working on the site daily.

ACE Mentoring is a national organization aimed at getting more high school students to pursue a career related to the construction industry, including construction trades, architecture, and engineering. In Indianapolis, ACE currently has chapters in six Marion county high schools including North Central.  Students work with industry mentors and get exposure to construction careers through field trips and working on a year-end project. ACE also awards student scholarships for students who plan on pursuing a construction related career. Learn more about ACE here.
