Learning Under the Sun (LUS) is a summer enrichment day camp with an emphasis on STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and math). LUS has been offering fun summer programming for MSDWT students for over 30 years. The program is designed for students ages 9-13 and is led by highly qualified MSDWT elementary and middle school teachers.
The theme this year is “Science Connects”, emphasizing how STEM intertwines with the world around us.
The two-week (10-day) camp will offer hands-on learning experiences such as 3D printing, build challenges, coding, animation creations, journaling, and community service. Students will also embark on exciting field trips, which may include visits to Indiana State Parks, a college campus, a county fair, a train ride, geocaching adventures, hands-on design cycle projects, hiking explorations, and MUCH more!
