Health Insurance Open Enrollment Only

Please Note: We are NOT having an open enrollment for dental or vision.

The law requires that MSD Washington Township provide every eligible employee an annual opportunity to elect or decline coverage under our health insurance program. This is known as the Employer Shared Responsibility Mandate.

The law is designed so that every year eligible employees have the opportunity to explore their options for satisfying the individual coverage mandate either by enrolling in their employer’s plan or by purchasing coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicare, or one of the State’s various assistance plans.

To comply with the law, MSD Washington Township will have an annual open enrollment for our health insurance plans November 1 through November 23, 2018.

This will be an “active enrollment” meaning that every eligible employee will need to complete a benefits election form to elect or decline coverage for the coming year (January 1 through December 31, 2019). If you are currently enrolled, you must re-enroll to ensure that coverage continues for 2019.

In addition to the informational materials available below, there will be opportunities for you to attend an informational meeting - all meetings will be held at the H. Dean Evans Community & Education Center (CEC):

  • Wednesday, November 7: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 21: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (Cancelled)

To enable us to properly plan for these meetings, please RSVP to dwolfe@msdwt.k12.in.us and indicate which meeting you plan to attend.
