Tony was elected to the Board of Education in May 2008. He attended Washington Township elementary and middle schools prior to his family’s move to LaPorte, Indiana. Tony earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction from the Indiana University School of Business, Bloomington in 1986. Following a post-graduate teacher certification program, Tony taught social studies at Indianapolis Public Schools’ Washington High School for two years. He then worked for 14 years at the Indiana Department of Commerce and the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor. Since 2005, he has been a full-time stay-at-home father and volunteer.
Tony served as co-chair of the Washington Township Parent Council’s Public Policy and Key Initiatives Committees. He was president of the Allisonville Elementary Dad’s Club and has been an active volunteer in his sons’ classrooms and schools. Tony has served on the governing boards of his church and the Indiana 211 Partnership. He has also volunteered with Glendale Youth Soccer, Washington Township Football and Allisonville Youth Baseball leagues. Tony and Jennifer are the proud parents of David (NCHS Class of 2014) and Jacob (NCHS Class of 2017).
