Angela Britain-Smith brings 30 years of educational qualifications extending into facilities management, maintenance, custodial, food services, safety and security. Ms. Britain-Smith holds a MS degree & Indiana School Administration Licensure from Butler University; BS degrees in Library Services K-12 & Speech & Communications 5-12 from Indiana University & Purdue University; and an Associate degree in Applied Science Human Services & Social Work from Indiana Vocational Technical College. She is an Indiana Certified Safety Specialist and former building administrator.

Laurie Stroke

Laurie Stroke brings more than 10 years experience within Washington Township. Prior to this most recent experience, she served in various roles in the insurance industry. These roles have required the ability to effectively communicate with many different groups. Mrs. Stroke received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Purdue University. Laurie and her husband, Ken, met at Purdue and have lived in Washington Township for more than 20 years. They have two boys who graduated from North Central High School.

Jim Boots

Jim Boots brings 30+ years of construction experience to the capital projects team. He has successfully delivered projects in a broad array of client sectors: K-12 educational facilities, Colleges and Universities, Hospitals and healthcare, including senior living, Science and research facilities, Public libraries, Religious, Airports, Government (local, state and federal), Industrial/distribution, and Multi-family communities. Mr. Boots has a degree in Construction Management from Purdue University and earned accreditation from the United Sates Green Building Council (USGBC) as a Leadership in Environment and Energy Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He started his career working on project sites and earned his way up to Senior Vice President positions. Jim and his wife, Susan, reside in Brownsburg. They have two kids and enjoy traveling and home improvement projects.

Scott Blyze

Scott Blyze is a professional executive with 30+ years in various areas within the construction and development sectors. His industry focus has been commercial, retail, institutional, hospitality, medical, and residential. Mr. Blyze graduated from Missouri State University with a BS degree in Construction Management and a minor in Real Estate. His core foundation is an intense work ethic that was instilled by his father who was a home builder. He believes in people development and building strong strategic alliances.

Scott and his wife, Kathy, live in Broad Ripple. They have two adult children. In his spare time, Scott enjoys traveling, walking and biking the Monon Trail, gardening, and reading.

Marvin Murdock

Owner and President of MBM Construction Service LLC, Marvin Murdock brings nearly three decades of commercial and industrial experience to Washington Township. His extensive construction background has shown the distinct ability to consistently deliver complex and demanding projects. Some of his past professional projects include: the Indiana Convention Center Expansions-Phase V; Indianapolis Airport; and multiple school construction projects in Indianapolis Public Schools, Pike Township, and Lawrence Township. Mr. Murdock holds a BS degree in Business Administration and Management from Northeastern State University.

Alfie Hernandez

Alfie Hernandez comes to Washington Township with 28+ years of educational experience in student activities planning, leadership, athletics, and facility management at Cardinal Ritter, Lawrence Central, and Guerin Catholic High Schools. Mr. Hernandez holds a BA degree in communications from Hanover University. He has held numerous leadership positions with the Marion County Coaches of Girls Sports Association, Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, and received the Charles Maas Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Hernandez, his wife Stacie, and their four boys have lived in Washington Township for 18 years.

Jeff Schroeder

Jeff Schroeder brings 35+ years of design and construction experience to the Capital Projects Team, which includes the successful execution of many project types including K-12, college and universities, healthcare, hospitals, hospitality, hotels, parking structures and religious facilities and churches. Jeff will assist the team in the management of the renovation and additions of the district’s six elementary schools. Mr. Schroeder has a Civil Engineering degree from Purdue University and has held professional positions in the construction industry including estimator, project manager, vice president and Director of Construction. Jeff and his wife, Laura reside in Fishers and enjoy, camping, boating and traveling.
