We Grow Panthers Spotlight

Two-Time Diving State Champion

For the second consecutive year, Adelyn Flessner, senior at North Central High School, claimed the state championship in diving, this time with an impressive 529.30 points—an improvement from her winning score of 441.80 last year.

In a feature by The Current North Side, Flessner reflected on the mindset shift that fueled her repeat victory. “I really worked on just being confident and knowing I belonged in the spot I was in,” she said. “Last year, I was really nervous. And this year, I was just having a lot of fun, and it was a great experience.”

Flessner’s approach—competing against herself while embracing the joy of the sport—has made her success look effortless, even as it reflects years of dedication and hard work.

Next season, you will find Flessner diving for the University of Iowa.

Reminder


As a reminder, due to the high school final exam schedule and to ensure efficient transportation operations, we will be implementing adjusted early release times for middle and high school students on the last student day:
  • High School: 2-hour early release at 1:25 PM
  • Middle School: 1-hour early release at 3:25 PM
Elementary school dismissal time will remain the same per the regular elementary schedule. For middle school and high school, regular morning start times will remain the same with dismissal occurring earlier than the regular school day. We encourage parents and guardians to plan accordingly and make necessary transportation arrangements.
 

KC Jazz

KC Jazz (featuring members of the North Central Choirs) would like to formally invite you to join us on the evening of Wednesday, May 6th for a fancy evening downtown at The Cabaret Theatre! We will be kicking off a new tradition called The KC Jazz Cabaret and we want you to be part of the first audience for this special event! Tickets are $40 per seat and include all food, non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment for the evening in one of the finest performance venues in Indy! 6th Grade Vaccines Offered

Nurses Direct Connect will be offering required 6th grade vaccines during the school day for all current 5th graders—no extra appointments needed!

Track Camp

Students in grades 1 - 8 who are interested in Panther Track, save the date for June 9. North Central varsity coaches and athletes will lead an all-day camp at the home of the state track meet, North Central High School. Come and learn from the best. Visit this link to register.

Café Meal Account Reminders

High School Students:
Let’s wrap up the school year with a positive balance! As we approach the end of the school year, this is a friendly reminder to check your child’s café meal account. 

Any negative balances must be paid by May 15. Unpaid balances after this date may be subject to collections. If you have questions about your student’s balance, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we are happy to help! 317.845.9400 ext. 77211

Refund or Fund Transfer Request for Graduating Seniors or Students Leaving the District
If your student has remaining funds, you may:
  • Request a refund
  • Transfer funds to a sibling
  • Donate to the Lunch Donation Fund
Simply complete the Refund Request Form.  Once processed, a check will be mailed to you (please allow up to 4 weeks).
