Standard Registration Information

It is easy to find the school in your neighborhood using our "Find My School locator tool, which features an interactive school attendance boundaries map.

This is a personal choice. Online enrollment may be completed at your convenience. For in-person enrollment, you need to contact your student’s school to schedule an enrollment appointment.
If your child is in middle school or high school, you will also need to contact the school to meet with a school counselor for course selection. -

Yes, you may contact the building for a scheduled tour or check the school website for open house dates.

Parents/legal guardians should contact the appropriate school for enrollment/registration questions.
Nonresident and School Choice Registration Information

If you live outside of the MSDWT attendance boundaries, you may still apply to attend as a nonresident family by completing a Nonresident application.

If you move during the school year, your child may continue through the end of the current semester as long as your student is in good standing. You should complete a nonresident application as soon as you have a signed lease or purchase agreement for the second semester and the following school year.

We have deadlines so we can try to accommodate applicants’ requests, but we realize there are circumstances where families may not be able to predict their situation for a recent move or other life change. If you missed the deadline, please email the appropriate grade-level contact and state the reason for your special request.

During our application window (Jan 20 - Mar 14), reviews are conducted weekly after the second week of open applications. Determination emails are usually sent on Fridays to the email address indicated on the application.

Yes, nonresident status is only for one school year. Applicants must reapply each year and adhere to the requirements of remaining in “good standing.” Applications are reviewed annually to ensure attendance and discipline guidelines are followed.

IDLC student application approval is good for the length of the current school level (K-5 for Elementary and 6-8 for Middle School) as long as the student remains in good standing.
