WT Families & Staff,
We want to share some important news regarding the future of the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC).
Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, Carmel High School and Center Grove High School will rejoin the MIC. This decision comes after conversations over the past year between current MIC schools and the two returning schools.
The MIC was formed nearly 30 years ago with the goal of providing students with opportunities for excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, and leadership. That commitment remains strong today. Even in recent years, while the MIC included only six schools, our MIC students achieved seven state championships.
With Carmel and Center Grove rejoining, the MIC will once again include eight schools: Ben Davis, Carmel, Center Grove, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, North Central, Pike, and Warren Central.
This renewed partnership strengthens the conference and ensures that our students will continue to benefit from high-level competition and expanded opportunities both on and off the field.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools and students. Those with questions should contact Mr. Andy Elkins, North Central Athletic Director at

Sincerely,
Mr. Jagga Rent, Principal, North Central High School
