We Grow Panthers Spotlight

If you missed the Chalkbeat publication highlight on North Central zoology teacher, Mrs. Sherry Jackson, you can catch it here. In the article she says that she considers the school her home, filled with educators who care deeply and who are always learning. This is how we are growing Panthers! Enjoy the read here.

Custodial Appreciation

Yesterday, October 2, 2025 was National Custodial Appreciation Day. We are extremely grateful for our custodial teams across the district for their long hours, quick responses and all the behind the scenes efforts to keep our facilities maintained.

National School Lunch Week

We are celebrating National School Lunch Week (NSLW) in our school cafeterias the week following Fall Break, October 13 – 17. The 2025 theme “Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport,” was chosen to inspire curiosity, cultural appreciation and adventure through food. We hope to encourage students to explore new tastes and traditions, making school meals exciting and engaging one delicious bite at a time.

NSLW is celebrated annually to promote the importance of healthy school lunches and increase participation in the program. Established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, NSLW encourages civic engagement and awareness of the vital role that good nutrition plays in a child’s development and academic success. We grow Panthers, Together

Every Friday, WTSF staff joins the entire Washington Township Schools team in a simple but powerful tradition: wearing North Central High School’s iconic red and black. It’s a visual reminder of our shared commitment and pride in our Panther community. Whether in classrooms, offices, or out in the community, we wear these colors to say: We’re growing Panthers, together.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Join us in wearing Red and Black on Fridays to share your Panther Pride!

Looking for something to wear? Purchase your own WTSF Support Public Schools t-shirt at the link below! Orders are open through October 22, 2025. Shirts will drop-ship directly to your address. Click here to order: Support Public Schools T-Shirts

Parent Council Network

Stay informed and connected this school year by attending a Parent Council Network meeting! You're invited to our annual Legislative Forum, happening Wednesday, October 22, at 7 pm at the Washington Township Services Center Auditorium. We've invited all elected officials who represent Washington Township to participate in a moderated panel discussion on education issues that impact our schools.
This has been a Washington Township tradition for decades and provides an excellent opportunity to learn about elected officials' and candidates' priorities and how they seek to impact education. This is a non-partisan event, like all meetings of the Parent Council Network. Follow us on Facebook at @wtparentcouncil and Instagram @msdwtpcn.
