Congratulations to Mrs. Dawn Merrill MYP Coordinator/Media Specialist from Eastwood Middle School for being named the 2015-16 Teacher of the Year for Washington Township! Out of twelve nominees (one from each of the district’s seven elementary schools, three middle schools, North Central High School, J. Everett Light Career Center, and Hilltop Preschool), Mrs. Merrill was chosen to be our district representative to the Indiana Department of Education for the state teacher of the year selection process, and will represent Washington Township at the statewide Teacher of the Year competition. Mrs. Merrill was selected because she is an inspiration to students from all backgrounds, plays an active role in the community, and is committed to continuous improvement. Congratulations Mrs. Merrill!
