Angela Britain-Smith, Director of Operations

This award is titled the Norman R. Turchan Administrator Award and is quite an honor. 

Dr. Turchan was hired in 1969 as Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education and later became Associate Superintendent and retired after 25 years in Washington Township.  At his retirement dinner Superintendent, Dr. White announced that there would a future administrator award named the Norman R. Turchan Award that would be given to an outstanding administrator each year.  Norm still lives in the District and assisted in the presentation of the 2017 Administrator of the Year Awards.

The Administrators of the Year is chosen by the Superintendent, but is based on nominations sent in by each Principal and Division leader in the district as well as recommendations.
