I grew up in Washington Township and am a graduate of Washington Township Schools (John Strange, Wyandotte, Northview and North Central). In addition, I am a parent of two current Washington Township school students.
My high school education has had a life-long impact on me. The growth I experienced during this time created values, beliefs and personal understanding that I carry to this day. The experiences with self-directed learning and education beyond the classroom walls for example, created skills and experiences that have made me a better person.
My passion for education, combined with the positive experience I had with MSDWT schools and my value to give back, lead me to want to serve. Being a parent amplifies my awareness as to the need for quality education. My direct contact with students in recent years, through a variety of settings, further emphasizes the importance of keeping our schools strong.
I am a CPA and have my MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. I have a unique set of skills from which I hope to bring additional insight to both the Board and the Washington Township schools community. These are the reasons I want to serve.
