Superintendent Scholarship

In 2013, Superintendent Dr. Nikki Woodson established the Superintendent’s Scholarship. It is neither a scholarship for Top of the Class, nor is it a scholarship for athletic excellence. The Superintendent’s Scholarship is designed to recognize a student with most improved academics in four years at North Central High School. The $3000 Superintendent’s Award is sponsored by the Teacher’s Credit Union (TCU)

$3,000 Superintendent Scholarship for Most Improved Student Awarded

Bridget Moyer has always been a bright student; however, due to challenges faced in her freshman and sophomore years at North Central, academics were not a priority. Bridget had to overcome both family and personal concerns. She was unable to focus and mentally had checked out from school. Calling on her own perseverance, drive, and support, she found the student she knew she could be and her academic prowess. She continued to work hard and raised her grade point average enough to be accepted to Indiana University, where she is currently attending her freshman year. She is truly an academic success story.
