Hanna teamed up with the IMPD to collect stuffed animals for kids experiencing crisis or emergency. The officers keep the “buddies” in their squad cars to help comfort young kids during fires, wrecks, etc. Hanna first shared her initiative with her classmates and invited the students at AYS to join in. As a result more than 500 buddies were collected! Officers honored Hannah with a plaque an article was also written to highlight her efforts. Hannah is the perfect example of a student exhibiting the Learner Profiles of being a risk taker, being caring, and a communicator.
