INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 30, 2024) – Washington Township (WT) Superintendent was honored August 29, 2024 at the prestigious 8th Annual Black Excellence in Education Awards by InnoPower Minority Business Week.
Dr. Woodson was honored to be the recipient of the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award in Education. Marlon Llewellyn, Education Awards Committee Member, states “Dr. Woodson’s selection for this honor is a testament to her outstanding contributions to education in Indianapolis, especially the beloved far eastside. Dr. Woodson’s work elevates the standard of excellence in our field and serves as a powerful inspiration to our entire community. The Black Excellence in Education awards honor outstanding public and private school professionals and thank them for their dedication and commitment to academic excellence for all students. The celebration pays tribute to those educators who go the extra mile each day to serve their students and their communities and inspire others to do the same. Over 200 Educators and community supporters attended the awards program.
