Why is the MSDWT Health and Wellness Center Provider changing?
IU Health has notified MSDWT that they will no longer be providing clinic services beyond August of 2023.
Does this clinic change mean I cannot see my IU doctor any more?
No, the only change is that IU staff will no longer manage the Health and Wellness Center. You can still see IU doctors at IU locations with no change
Can I continue to see Dr. Boyce or other clinic staff?
Yes, if you see them at an IU Health location.
Will I still have access to IU Health for EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services?
Yes, IU Health will still manage our EAP and you can contact them at 317-962-8001.
What will happen to my mail order prescriptions from Northwind Pharmacy?
Northwind will not fill any requests for refills after August 30. After that date you will need to set an appointment at Marathon or your primary care physician to have a new prescription written.
Will Marathon have a mail in prescription option?
Yes, Marathon will also provide mail order prescriptions for medications prescribed at a Marathon location.
Will my records be automatically transferred to Marathon?
No, based on health care privacy laws you will need to request your records or sign a release form allowing IU Health to provide information to Marathon. You will want to take any copies of your records or this release form to your first appointment at a Marathon location. What is the last date I can get an IU Health appointment at the Wellness Center?
The last day for IU Health staff to see patients at the Wellness Center was on August 30, 2023.
When will the Wellness Center reopen staffed by Marathon?
The Wellness Center will reopen with Marathon in late November 2023.
When is the first date I can make an appointment at a Marathon Network location?
ou can book an appointment at any of the 7 Marathon Network locations in Indianapolis beginning August 28, 2023. Virtual appointments and appointments at Marathon locations in other cities are also available.
What do I need to do if I have already done my Biometric Screening at the Health and Wellness Center in calendar year 2023?
Nothing, IU Health will document that you have already completed your Biometric Screening requirement for 2023.
What do I need to do if I have already submitted my Physician’s Option form to IU Health for my Biometric Screening in calendar year 2023?
Nothing, IU Health will document that you have already completed your Biometric Screening requirement for 2023.
What do I need to do if I need to do my Biometric Screening for 2023?
Biometric Screening appointments can be made with Marathon beginning August 28, 2023.
How can I submit a Physician’s Option Form for Biometric Screening after August 30th, 2023?
Physician’s Option Forms after August 30, 2023 will be submitted to Marathon.
Can I have my Biometric Screening done at the Health and Wellness Center after it reopens in November?
Yes, you may complete your Biometric Screening at the Health and Wellness center after it reopens, however appointments will be limited before the end of the calendar year.
Will my IU Health Urgent Care card still provide reduced rates at IU Health Urgent Cares when our clinic is closed?
After August 30, we will no longer have an enhanced benefit at IU Health Urgent Care locations. Staff may still choose to access IU Health Urgent Care locations as needed with applicable copays, but will no longer have an enhanced benefit.
