At the July 21, 2021 Regular Meeting of the Board of Education the following individuals will be recognized for helping to make Washington Township a Superior School District.

 

  1. We are honored to announce that Marcus Dalton (Physical Education at Nora) was named the Golden Apple grand finale winner from WISH-TV! We are extremely proud of Mr. Dalton and cannot thank him enough for the wonderful things he does for Nora Elementary and the MSDWT Community!  https://www.wishtv.com/goldenapple/watch-golden-apple-award-team-surprises-grand-finale-winner/

 

  1. On June 19, 2021, Braxton Hiser, a teacher from Willow Lake Elementary School was crowned Miss Indiana. The Miss Indiana Organization hosted its state competition after a year break due to the pandemic. Ms. Hiser, was crowned Miss Indiana 2021 at the Star Bank Performing Arts Center at Zionsville High School.  Ms. Hiser’s talent is vocal performance and her social impact initiative is, “Love Thy Neighbor.”  Washington Township is extremely proud of Ms. Hiser’s accomplishments and wish her continued success! Again, congratulations!

 

  1. Congratulations to Steven Pelych, Principal at Northview Middle School. He is the IASP Indiana Middle School Principal of the Year for District 7. The Indiana Association of School Principals annually recognizes outstanding school leaders in each of the 12 Indiana districts who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students. These principals are acknowledged by their peers for the exemplary contributions they have made to the profession.  Congratulations Mr. Pelych, we are extremely proud of your accomplishments and all you do for Washington Township Schools!

 

  1. We would like to give a huge thank you to Donna Kreps and her team at Diversity Church. They invited 250 families from AV, GB, WE, CC and SM to participate in their back to school event on July 31st. It is the continued support of our community partners who enrich the lives of our students and their families every day and for that, we are immensely grateful!
