Congratulations to Meredith Schaar, 5th grade teacher at Nora Elementary, for being named the 2017-18 Teacher of the Year for Washington Township! Out of twelve nominees (one from each of the district’s seven elementary schools, three middle schools, North Central High School, J. Everett Light Career Center, and Hilltop Preschool), Ms Schaar was chosen to be our district representative to the Indiana Department of Education for the state teacher of the year selection process, and will represent Washington Township at the statewide Teacher of the Year competition. To date, Ms Schaar has advanced as a finalist at the state level. Congratulations Ms Schaar!

Congratulations also to 2017-2018 MSDWT Teachers of the Year from their respective schools, who then serve as nominees for the District Teacher of the Year competition.
