February Recognitions

At the February 14, 2024 Regular Meeting of the Board of Education the following individuals were recognized for helping to make Washington Township a Superior School District.

Congratulations to Westlane Middle School 8th grader, Noah Davis, who was accepted into the 2024 Honors Performance Series. The Honors Performance Series was established with the goal of distinguishing talented student musicians in a once-in-a-lifetime performance. It has showcased thousands of dedicated young performers on renowned stages across the world. Noah began private violin lessons in August 2019 at Indianapolis Suzuki Academy. During his time at Westlane, Noah has participated in numerous musical endeavors including the Westlane Advanced Orchestra, the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra, and North Central’s Side-By-Side Masterworks Concerts. His leadership in orchestra class and dedication to his musicianship is outstanding. The Honors Performance Series will provide Noah an opportunity to learn from renowned music conductors and perform alongside students with a similar love for music. Also, as an accredited organization, WorldStrides gives students participating in the Honors Performance Series the opportunity to earn high school credit by completing an online course after the program. Noah is an excellent violinist and student who will make a great member of this elite orchestra. I am excited for him to represent Westlane in this ensemble of students from all over the world. Congratulations, Noah!

Also at his meeting members of the Crooked Creek and Fox Hill Elementary School communities were recognized during the “School Spotlight” segment of the meeting.
