PALLADIUM TO HOST HIGH SCHOOL CHORAL EXTRAVAGANZA INDIANAPOLIS, IN (September 25, 2011) – The High School Choirs from the MIC Athletic Conference will present a Choral Extravaganza at The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana on Monday, September 26th at 7:00 p.m. The high schools that are participating include Ben Davis, Carmel, Center Grove, Lawrence North, North Central, Terre Haute South, and Warren Central. Over 300 singers will combine with professional singers from Christ Church Cathedral Choirs and will be conducted by Dr. Dana Marsh, Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral. They will present Faure’s Cantique De Jean Racine and Requiem. Professional musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony will provide accompaniment. The choirs will join for a mass rehearsal from 1:30 -5:00 p.m. on Sept. 26th at the Palladium and the doors for the concert will open at 6:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend the 7:00 p.m. concert and a $5.00 minimum donation per person is requested to help defray expenses.
The concert is presented with support from the MIC Conference High Schools, the Indiana Arts Commission, The Washington Township Schools Foundation, Christ Church Cathedral, and The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.
