Sam Lerner came in 3rd in the Friday round of Jeopardy Teen Tournament quarter-finals, however he had a score high enough to advance to the Teen Tournament semi-finals taking place next week! Watch Sam this Wednesday at 7:30 on Jeopardy! Congratulations Sam Lerner!
On Friday, July 25th at 7:30, North Central student Sam Lerner will be a contestant on Jeopardy! on WTHR-TV. During his week of media touring promoting the show, we asked him to take a moment so that his Washington Township Schools family could get to know him better. Here is what we learned!

Sam was a guest with Scott Swan on the WTHR Thursday Noonday Show. He described the experience of being on Jeopardy as “kind of surreal. I know that’s a little cliché. But I’ve been watching Jeopardy for years and I’ve always thought ‘I should be on the show,’ because I get a lot of the questions at home and then I’m finally there and I meet Alex Trebek and I get to see the making of the shows. It was really cool.”
