INDIANAPOLIS, IN (September 8, 2023) – Northview Middle School has been awarded $215,000 by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) and was honored last night at the annual Indiana Educational Excellence Awards Gala, honoring schools and educators from across the state. The award given is the Excellence in Leading and Learning Award
and recognizes an individual school that provides high-quality professional learning support for educators. The size of the financial award is based on the school’s total student population size.
“This award is a result of the hard work and dedication of the Northview staff through the 2022-2023 school year,” said Tom Hakim, Principal of Northview Middle School. “The staff committed to developing and improving Professional Learning Communities for the benefit of the academic growth of the Northview students. We are honored to be recognized for our collaborative efforts and look forward to utilizing this award to continue to grow the talents of the Northview staff through this upcoming school year and summer!”
